With all three kids home alll day, today has been pretty busy. It seemed like everyone needed help with various homework and projects and little Vaughnie has been quite needy and did not nap very long either, and then there was the never ending laudry pile to tackle too. So the only finished project I have today is a tag.
I used stamps from Unity, distressed all the edges and the twine is from PTI.

Wow! The past 2 days have been busy, I did however find time to craft - somehow I can always find time to make something, even if it is late at night when there is any extra time. I made a set of cards to give to a dear friend for her birthday and a thank you card (seems that we always need some of those...).

Made with an embossed card grey ink, a strip of black card stock, ribbon, pin from Maya Road and a stamp from Unity.

These were all made with papers from DCWV Once Upon a Time mat stack, ribbon from pti and the letter was made with my Cricut.

Here they are all wrapped up, the paper I used was paper that some stamps from Unity was wrapped in when I got them, and I just stamped them with a pretty stamp from one of the Unity KOM sets and added a ribbon, mini card and a hand rolled flower.

Off to hopefully make some more stuff and bake cookies for the kids.

My goal is to post something crafty every day, that way I am forced to actually use the stuff I keep buying....
Today I spent most of the day shopping, so I had limited time to make something before it got too dark to take a decent picture.
I used DCWV papers from a mat stack calle Once Upon a Time, and for some reason I own at least two of these mat stacks (too much shopping - not enough crafting....), the stamp is from a Unity kit of the month and the ribbon from PTI.

Love this stamp!

This was a simple card that I made late last night, papers are October Afternoon and the stick pin in from Maya Road. I colored the little hearts with Copics and added glitter glue to them.

Seems like I am constantly working on organizing/cleaning my craft area in the basement. Last night I decided to clean up in the drawers and boxes where I keep ribbon & fibers of all kinds (I am sure that I have way too many), I found several pieces of ribbon and decided to use them and this is what I came up with:

I just glued pieces of blue ribbon to the card stiched the edges and then I stamped, embossed and cut out this beautiful butterfly from Unity. I added the "friend" epoxy sticker and some black gems at the bottom.

I had fun making this card... The papers might be from DCWV, but I am not sure, they were in a pile of papers I found in a drawer when attempting to organize my craft area.  The stamp is from Unity, the set is called Going Retro and it is super cute.
I colored the lava lamps with Copics and added glossy accents to make them look like glass.

Monday.... It actually snowed here in Kansas early this morning and the kids have a snowday today. I made these three mini cards last night

They measure 3x3 and I used papers from Echo Park (these were out on my desk from previous projects) and stamps from Unity, divine twine and gems from Martha Stewart and Hero Arts. I stitched around each card and used glossy accents on the pink heart (this is hard to see in the pic...).

Yeah Saturday!!! I just love weekends when the whole family is at home at the same time, with this family it seems to be rare that everyone is home all at once, but today is one of those days....
I did take some time to stamp while Vaughnie was napping and this is what I made today
I love these papers from Echo Park and the co-ordinating stamps from Unity. I finally took my sewing machine out of the box and used it for the first time, and I had fun with it, even if some of the borders are not as straight as I had hoped :)  The black gems at the bottom of the card look better and more visible in person than they do on this picture.

This has been a short, busy week. The loud crazy neighbors finally moved out, and lucky for us Vaughnie has been sleeping much better at night since they left. Everyone went back to school and work and I missed having them here, but did enjoy not having the tv on all the time. Finally last night I had some time to relax and play in my craft area again, and this is the one project I started and finished....

I had different intentions for the flowered background I cut with my Cricut, but ended up with this instead... Papers are from Bazzill, I sprayed the flower background with shimmer spray before attaching it. The sentiment is from Unity from kotm 08/09, and I added a bead from Making Memories.

Made this card using stamps from Unity
Just love this stamp it stamps beautifully every time....

Sunday, January 2, 2011

Got the new Echo Park Be Mine papers and stamps from Unity and wanted to use them right away. Unfortunately my son did not want to sleep until late last night, so I ended up staying up until 3am to play with my new stuff, and this is the final product....

I entered it into the cobrand challenge at Unity, and will try to make some cards with this line sometime this week.
