Growing in Unity day 5 "Always & Forever"

Day 5 of GIU!
Today I made this card using one of my favorite color combos of black, white and red.

I stamped the raised part of the embossing with the "She Script" background stamp, and I love how this turned out.

The sentiment is from the "Generations" kit.

Saturday I will be choosing a random winner from all the comments this week.

Growing in Unity day 4 "Be Brave"

Today I have yet another masculine card to share. It is rare that I make any masculine cards at all (I love big bows...), so this has been a real challenge for me.

The stars are from an Itty Bitty stamp and the sentiment is from an amazing kit called "Empowered Words".

I am sending this card in a care package to a deployed friend, so he can send it home to his son who is having a difficult time with his dad being gone for so long.

Growing in Unity day 3 "Missing You"

Today I made a card using some stamps that I have had for a very long time, but I never inked them until now.

I was trying to make this kind of masculine without a lot of embellishments, but could not resist adding a starfish charm.

The image stamps are from a kit called "Beach Cottage" and the sentiment is from an itty bitty set.

Growing in Unity day Two "Baby"

Day two of GIU!

For today I made this cute baby card using the background stamp from the March 2011 KOM and the "baby" stamp from the April 2011 KOM.

I stamped the background first with brown ink, then I turned it upside down and stamped it again using pink ink on cream card stock.

I just added a big pink bow and some stick pins, and I think this is a cute card for a baby shower or a baby girl.

GIU Day One "Hello"

Hello and welcome to day one of Growing in Unity

For today I have a card that I made with the "Embrace You" kit, and I am not sure what the name of the kit the sentiment is from.

The swirl was stamped and embossed, and I just added some punched butterflies and some gems for a bit of sparkle.

Thank you for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment every day this week for a chance to win some cute stamps from Unity.
