Since finding out that Vaughn will be deploying to Iraq I have not gotten much crafting done. We were "surprised" that he is going to deploy so soon - we were expecting a deployment, just thought it would be in the fall instead of the spring, and that we would move to a regular unit and not deploy straight from Kansas. On the upside, the kids and I do really like it here, and Kansas City has proven to be more interesting than we thought it might be before we moved here, the schools on post are great and a few of my friends are going to be staying next year too, so we will make the best of it, and hope that we get a post we want after this. So last night I decided that it was time to find my mojo again and spent a bit of time in my craft room (that is a fancy way of saying a corner of the basement), unfortunately I started pretty late, but I managed to finish 2 cards using the same paper for both, I like how they turned out, hope you do too.
The stamp is from a Unity KOTM set and paper from Kaiser (I love this paper).
This one I left blank for now, I think that it could be used for many different occasions, I might keep it and just stamp a sentiment on the inside when I need it.

Tomorrow is the day we finally find out where we will be moving in June. It is almost impossible for me to concentrate on anything at all, I am both eager and scared to find out. Best case scenario we go to Germany for the next 3 years, and worst is that Vaughn gets sent to Afghanistan as soon as SAMS is over in May, but there are so many options in between those, that it is impossible to even guess on where we might end up.
Here is the one card I managed to finish yesterday:
I love this stamp set from Unity and I do like how this turned out even though these are colors I do not use often. The paper is from My Minds Eye, and cardstock from PTI (I love their cardstock).

Here are a few cards I made Friday evening. They were all pretty quick and easy.
I love how this turned out... The papers are from DCWV and the stamp is Unity. The ribbon is crincled seam binding which is so much fun.
Stamp from Unity, dotted paper and ribbon from PTI. The colors are nicer in person, I will have to practice with the camera to take better pictures of these cards.
Super quick card made with stuff I had sitting out already. The stamps are from Unity and from VLV stamps and I am pretty sure the paper is PTI.
I used only paper from my scrap pile for this one. They are all from the Echo Park Be Mine collection since this is the one I have been using the most lately. The sentiment is from Unity.

It has been over a week since I had any time to finish any projects, it has been super busy around here with the kids, husband and starting Weight Watchers has been brutal, I hate being hungry and not being able to eat whatever I want, but I do want to look hot for the formal in April and the baby is now one, so it is probably time to lose some of the pregnancy weight now...
Last night I was able to make a few things before bed (dieting and getting up at 5am to work out is tiring). Here is a cute thank you card:
The paper is from DCWV Mariposa mat stack, ribbon from PTI, and the stamp is from Unity from the January KOTM.
