This morning I woke up really early, it was so quiet and even though I do love my kids, it was fantastic to have some time to just do whatever I wanted while the house was quiet. So while I had my tea, I made a few cards, and I really like how both of these turned out.
The stamps are from the April KOM, and I just love all the stamps in this kit. I colored the stars with twinkling H2Os and added a small stick pin to the bow.
I just love this stamp with the little fairy and I think that it goes well with lots of different sentiments, and really like it with this one from the April KOM. I added some glittery stickles to her wings (hard to see in the picture), and colored the flowers with distress markers that I just got last week.

April 27 FWF
This week I have a couple of cards to share, the first one I made for FWF and the second one is yet another card for my friends husband who is leaving for Afghanistan soon.
The papers are from Kaiser, the sentiment stamp is from the Nov 2010 KOM, and the butterflies is from one of the stamp of the week stamps. I got that white ribbon from IHP and the green paper is from PTI.
This was really quick and easy. The sentiment is from the September 2010 KOM, the border at the bottom is a rubon that I found in a drawer while I was cleaning this week - I have no idea where it came from or how long it has been there :)
We are having the post wide garage sale tomorrow here at Fort Leavenworth, so I will be busy getting ready for it today. These garage sales are so much fun, and a great way to clean up before a move. I will NOT be shopping this year (a reminder to myself :)) since we are moving to North Carolina as soon as Vaughn gets home from Iraq in just 89 more days. I have never been to the East coast at all, and we are both excited and a little nervous about this move.
Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!!!

April 20 FWF
Got my April KOM in the mail last night, love these stamps and had to use them right away, so I made this card using the large bicycle background stamp and a sentiment from the "joy beyond measure" set that I got last summer at Archivers.
This week I have been working on a set of cards to give to a friends husband, so he will have cards to send to her while he is deployed for the next year, and this is one of the cards that I made for him, I am hoping to get a lot more made for him before he leaves next month.
Today I realized that there is only 96 days until Vaughn comes home, and i cannot wait until he is with us again, I have however enjoyed all the cards he has been sending me, he got lots of cards from "operation write home", and it is so much fun getting homemade cards from him.
Have a happy weekend!!!

April 13 FWF
Made this quick card for FWF this week, I colored it with twinkling H2Os (first time I am using these), and added lots of tiny green gems. The tree stamp is from the Mothers Day weekly stamp, I do not know the name of the set the sentiment is from.
It has been a rough week around here, a late night trip to the ER with a sick toddler, a kitchen fire (the 2 year old stuffed a toy and some paper in the toaster and turned it on...), and an overflowing toilet, I am REALLY ready for this deployment to be over and the end of July cannot come soon enough. When I was sitting in the ER at 3AM a few nights ago, some lady actually said to me that she thought it must be a nice break to have your husband deployed for a year - a break is not exactly what I would call it, I miss him every day and so does the kids. At first I was kinda mad about her comment, and thought that she was insensitive and thoughtless, but after I thought about it, I started feeling sorry for her, since it must not be nice living in a house where you think it is a break if your spouse is gone for a year. Hopefully everyone has a great weekend, I am sure that ours will be good, we are going to a soccer game tomorrow, and it should be lots of fun.
TFL!!!

April 6 FWF
Made this card for FWF this week
The stamp is from the all smiles June 2011 KOM, the kraft paper is from PTI (my favorite kraft paper), and I colored the roses with Copic RV02.
