Believe in Magic

Yesterday the packers started packing up all our stuff, and now all my craft stuff is in boxes waiting to be picked up on Monday :(
The day before the packers came, I went down to my craft room and meant to organize it and clean for the move, but instead I made a few cards (which was much more fun than cleaning), so here is a quick CAS card to share for todays FWF.

The stamp is from the May KOM "Love in an Instant", the butterfly is from K& Co., and paper is from my scrap box.

And here is some fun news to share:

Photo: Crafters Fun news to share! Who is ready to STAMP WITH THE OLDIES? (no not with me) It's about pulling out your OLD stamping stuff and start using it. I'm on board with this fun new team!

This is about using all your old stamping stuff and not just letting it sit in a drawer somewhere. Visit next week to see fun new projects featuring older stamps and supplies.

TTFN!!!

FWF Friday

It is Friday and that means time for Friends With Flair.
The cards I made for today were so much fun to make, I masked a rectangle in the center of the card and inked it, and then just stamped my sentiment in the middle and added some embellishments, and the cards were done. Quick and easy, and I really like how they turned out.

This stamp is from Jan 2011 KOM "To the moon and Back"

This sentiment is from a SOTW extra stamp.

Lovely Bits and Baubles is the name of the kit that this stamp is from.

And finally Vaughn is back from his 12 months in Iraq, and we are all so very happy to have him here. His plane did not arrive until 1am, so the kids did not see him until the next morning. It took our two year old a few minutes to figure out that daddy was here and it was real, but he is so very happy to have his daddy back, and wants to be with daddy all the time. It has only been five days, so we are still getting used to being together again, but it is awesome to have him here with us.

Thank you for stopping by, and have a happy weekend!

Using Scraps

A while ago my 12 year old was working on a school project at my craft desk and the next day I found a huge mess (worse than my mess), and it included a bunch of these squares that he must have enjoyed punching out. So after having them sit in my scrap basket for months, I decided that it was time to either use them or throw them away, and since I hate just throwing stuff out I made these cards (and more) with them.

The stamps are from A Muse, and Hero Arts.

Life is Wonderful

For the past week or so I have been busy cleaning up my craft room to get ready for our move, and I have been finding all kinds of stuff that I forgot I had. Now I am trying to use some of these stamps and supplies (any excuse to take a break from cleaning), so here are a few cards I made last night.

 Supplies:
Itty Bitty from Unity
Washi tape
Flowers and gems found in a drawer.
Kraft from PTI

I found a bunch of stamps from A Muse that I completely forgot I had, so here is two versions of a card using a cute skunk from A Muse.
Supplies:
A Muse Stamps
Sparkly stickers
Black gems
Pink, black & white card stock.

TTFN and thank you for stopping by!

It Is a Beautiful Day!

Here is the card I made for FWF today

The yellow swirl is an Itty Bitty, and the sentiment is from the April 2012 KOM "Follow Your Own". The yellow paper is from PTI and the butterfly charm is one that I found in a drawer when cleaning last week, I am pretty sure that I meant to make some jewlery with it, but here it is on a card...
Only one more garbage day left before my husband comes home. He made it from Iraq to Kuwait and is there waiting to get on the redeployment flight to America tomorrow evening, so if all goes well he should be back with us Sunday or Monday. The kids are super excited that dad is coming home, and I am too. However I am a bit nervous also, it is going to take some time to adjust to living together again, it has been a whole year of doing everything my way, so it will take a bit of getting used to having him here again. And to top it off the movers come in less than two weeks, so we will not have much time to relax before moving day is here. But above all it is a beautiful day and it is going to be great to see my sweetie again!
Thank you for stopping by, and have a great weekend!

Right Where You Should Be

"You are right where you should be"
I really like this saying, and need to take a breath and live by it more, since so often I feel like I am not right where I should be in any way, both as a person and also physically as in where we live.
I made this card with some stuff I found when I was cleaning up getting ready for our move, the stamp is from Unity and I have no idea where the papers are from.
I masked the white square and inked the middle of it with a brayer and matted it in pink. The butterfly background was on a card that came in a box of premade cards, that I got a long time ago, but have never used any of them.

Fairy Tale

Made this card for a CAS challenge on SCS. I used some ribbon that was on a present I got a while ago to make the dotted background on the bottom, and I love how it turned out.

The stamp is from Unity, and I used distress ink in Frayed Burlap and lightly colored in the heart with a pink Copic. Below is a picture of the ribbon that I used to make the bottom of the card.

Thank you for stopping by!

Friday FWF

It is Friday already, this week went by really fast for me. Time for FWF and I made this card for today. I used the "Becoming Butterfly" stamp that I have had for a really long time, but it had not seen ink until now.

Only about two more weeks left until my husband returns from his deployment in Iraq, and I cannot wait for him to be home with us again. And I do need a little help getting ready for our move at the end of the month.
Thank you for stopping by, and have a happy weekend!
Stay cool!

Blog Candy Winner and a Butterfly

It is another super hot day here in Kansas, guess it is a good day to stay inside and spend some time cleaning and crafting. Last night I made this pretty card with a big embossed butterfly on it. As I am cleaning up my craft area to get ready for our move I am finding stuff that I forgot I had, hence the big white embossed butterfly, since I found a bunch of embossing powders yesterday. The stamp is from the Unity "Embrace You" set.

Blog Candy Winner!

Using random.org I picked a winner and the winner is comment number 11.
