Folded Christmas Tree

I made this for the TLC challenge on SCS this week.

These folded trees are so cute and surprisingly easy to make too, the tutorial for these on SCS is so easy to follow and it only takes a few minutes to make one of these.

The stamp is from a Stampin' Up set called Petite Pairs and the brown cs is also from Stampin' Up.
You can order these here.

So Many Thanks

Quick post with a card I made for FWF this week

The stamp is from a set called Happy Everything. I used an embossing folder that I inked on the inside with brown ink before embossing a piece of kraft paper.

Thank you for stopping by, and have a happy weekend!

CAS Christmas

Made this cute CAS card using a piece of newspaper and a Spellbinders die.

I inked the tree with Gumball green ink from SU and the sentiment stamp is from Unity.
For a little jingle I added the bell to the twine, and I really like how this turned out.

KOM Sketch Challenge

Here is a card I made for the Kit of the Month sketch challenge

I used the animal print stamp from the March 2011 "Just You" KOM, and the sentiment is from a SOTW.

I am going to hurry up and enter into the final WCMD drawing again since I actually managed to finish every challenge on the list, even the two "bonus" challenges.

Thank you for stopping by.

Friends With Flair and more WCMD cards

Hi and Happy Friday!
I finally managed to finish the last cards for the Unity WCMD challenge even though it seemed like time to stamp was scarce this week.

The first card is for the make a fall theme card challenge

The paper is from my stash, and the stamp is one of the Unity SOTW stamps.

I made this fun gift card holder, since I do need a few of these to give to some friends who has helped me out a lot this past week. Kids seemed to have endless activities and needed rides to all sorts of places, and I relied on friends to help with a lot of that since I have been a "single mom" for 2 weeks now, and it is not very practical to have to wake up the toddler to pick up his siblings late in the evening or during nap time. I cannot wait for my husband to come home in a week or so. Sometimes this army gig is a bit trying, right now I have not seen or heard from my husband for two weeks (yes I am whining), and I do miss him lots.
On a positive note, I did find a Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker on clearance and I cannot wait to have some friends over and try it out this weekend.

The second card is for the stamp a border challenge

I used stamps from the Too cute to Spook set, and just added some googly eyes to the spiders.

Thank you for stopping by!

More Unity WCMD Challenge cards

Today I managed to finish two more cards for the Unity WCMD challenge. I am hoping to get all of them done before October 20.

This one is for the sketch challenge, I used stamps from the August 2012 KOM, and paper from Echo park "Apothecary Emporium".  For the half circle I used some spellbinders and just cut them in half, and I embossed the orange half circle with the Swiss dot embossing folder.

The second card is for the embossing challenge, and this one looks really pretty in person, but it was not being a good model, so the pictures do not do it justice at all. And since the challenge called for embossing I decided to both dry emboss and heat emboss on the card.

I embossed the white panel with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, I rolled my brayer in Versamark ink and rolled it over the snowflakes, sprinkled with sparkly embossing powder and embossed it, so these have a really pretty sparkle to them that does not turn up in the picture.

I stamped the blue panel with snowflakes from the Snowflakes fall from Heaven set using Versamark and embossed them with a glittery iridescent white embossing powder (this does not show up well in the picture either). The word stamp is from a set called Christmas Eve Chowder.
I added some navy gems for some extra sparkle.

And don't forget that I am giving away the following blog candy, and you can still be a follower or become a follower and leave a comment on a post before Monday for your chance to win.

Thank you for stopping by!

GIU Winner!

Hope that everyone is having a great weekend!
I am finally getting around to posting my projects for the Unity WCMD challenge and here are the two first ones.

For the first one we were supposed to make a shaped card and this was quite a challenge for me, guess that shaped cards is not my forte. I finally finished this cute pumpkin card, and I am somewhat satisfied with the result
The stamp is from one of the SOTW sets and the pumpkin shape is a Spellbinders die, that I cut with the top edge right inside the cutting edge so it stayed connected at the top. The paper is from a huge pad of papers from DCWV and I have had it in my stash for ages.

The second challenge called for using at least two textures on your card. I dry embossed the background, heat embossed the image in silver and added a ribbon for at least three textures.
The stamp is from the Happy Everything kit and the ribbon is from a JoAnns clearance bin.

Usually I have a really hard time with pictures when the card is black or really dark, but today I was struggling to get a good picture of this all white card, they kept looking purple, finally I gave up and this is the best one I got.

And last but not least the winner of the two Itty Bitty stamps from Unity, I used random.org to find the winner and the winner is:

Paula, please contact Kelli at kelli@unitystampco.com and let her know that you are the GIU Itty Bitty winner so you can choose your two free stamps.

And don't forget that I am giving away the following blog candy, and you can still be a follower or become a follower and leave a comment on a post before Monday for your chance to win.

Thank you for stopping by, and have a wonderful weekend!

GIU DAY FIVE

For today I made two cards using some of my Unity stamps that I have had for a long time, but had never used until this week.
For the first card I used a stamp from  the Love Life kit, and all the stamps in this kit are amazing.

The pink paper is from Gina K, black from SU and kraft from PTI and so is the twine.
I took the pictures at night and I am still working on getting better with this camera of mine, so if the colors look a bit off that is the reason why.

This second card I made with the Christmas Bough kit and I have had this for a really long time and never used it. Then last week for FWF I saw a really pretty card made with this set, which inspired me to get it out and at least make one card with it.

I embossed the bough in gold, and just added the red bow. Paper and ribbon is from PTI.

Leave a comment for your chance to win your choice of two awesome Itty Bitty stamps from Unity.

And in addition I am giving away some blog candy too. Just follow my blog and leave a comment on a post this week, and I will randomly draw a winner on Monday October 15.

Thank you for stopping by all week, and have a great weekend!

GIU DAY TWO {Trick or Treat}

Day two of Growing in Unity!

Today I made this cute Halloween card

The stamps are from the Too cute to Spook kit and these stamps really are very cute, I have used them a ton for the past weeks. I embossed the black panel with a spider web embossing folder that I got a Michaels, the ribbon is from IHP, and the flower is from Prima, and I used some zap dots for a bit of dimension.

Do not forget to leave a comment for your chance to win two Itty Bitty stamps of your choice from Unity.

In addition to the Itty Bitty stamps I will be giving away some blog candy too, it will include some stamps from Unity, spellbinders dies, paper, embellishments, washi tape and more. GIU DAY ONE

Hi and welcome to day one of Growing in Unity!
This post is a bit late, but this was not originally my week, and I just found out that I had the opportunity to be the GIU girl this evening.
Every day this week I will be posting a project featuring some amazing stamps from Unity, and at the end of the week I will randomly draw a winner from everyone who left a comment, and that person will receive two Itty Bitty stamps of their choice from Unity.

My first card is a CAS Christmas card, it is pretty simple in blue and white, and I just love this snowflake stamp.

The stamps are from the September 2010 KOM "When I am with You"
and I love getting the kit of the month in my mailbox every month. The navy panel is embossed with small dots, but for some reason it is difficult to see in the picture.

Again, don't forget to leave a comment for your chance to win two Itty Bitty stamps from Unity.

Spider {FWF}

Happy Friday!

For FWF this week, I made a fun Halloween card, I love the googly eyed spider, and had to make several of these, because my toddler kept coming in the room and taking the eyes off the spider because according to him spiders do not have eyes.

The paper is from Echo Park Apothecary collection, and the stamp is from Unity "Too cute to Spook", I cut the spider with my much under used Cricut and a cartridge called Doodle charms.

Now I will hurry up and send this to some friends in Kansas, before the little guy sees it and gets upset about yet another spider with eyes.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great weekend, Eva

Winter Wishes

Today was super hot and muggy here, and all I could think about was snow, so here is a card I made using some unity stamps and a spellbinders snowflake die that I have had for a really long time, but only opened it today.

The papers are from SU, and I love this color, just not sure yet if I love a snowflake card in this color...

Yesterdays Papers

Over on the Stamping with the Oldies blog we have been playing with our older papers this week. I made this card using some papers from K & Co that I have been hoarding for years without ever using a single piece until now.

I love these cute stamps from Unity, they are from a kit called "Shine Out", and I just added some ribbon and a few pearly gems to it.

Thank you for stopping by, and have a great weekend!

Da Bomb {F4A135}

Wow, two posts in one day!
Just thought I would share this cute card I made for the Free for all challenge today. My daughter wanted a card to send to her very silly friend in Michigan, and we think this is perfect for her.

Supplies:
A Muse stamps
PTI card stock
Memento Ink
Googly eyes

Thank you for stopping by, and have a fun weekend!

Lots of Hearts {FWF}

Hi, and Happy Friday!
Today I have a card with some stamps that I got about a month ago, but had not had a chance to ink them until last night. I love these worn hearts and had so much fun playing with them. I embossed the background and the heart with some glitzy embossing powder (kinda hard to see in the pic), and I love the shiny glittery hearts with the distressed edges.

Supplies:
Unity "Hearts of old" background stamp
Unity "A Little Grunge Love" kit
Stampabilities "Gracie Moon" alphabet stamps
CTMH Holiday red ink
Versamark ink
embossing powder
twine

I usually do not make a lot of distressed stuff, but this was easy and fun, so I will definitely do more of it from now on.

This weekend I am hoping to get some time to craft and finish making cards to fill a box that I am sending to OWH later in the week. It makes me so happy to send them cards, and I feel like that is the least I can do after receiving so many cards made by OWH crafters while my hubby was deployed last year. And when I make cards for OWH my husband does not complain about the time and money I spend on crafting :)

Thank you for stopping by and have a fun weekend!

Today I made a card for the CAS188 challenge at SCS. I love the colors and the leaves in the inspiration photo, but I was so not in the mood to make a fall card, so here is what I came up with for this.

Supplies:
Unity SOTW stamp
Me & My Big Ideas dp
PTI card stock
Leaf pins
Ribbon

I am Thankful

The sentiment on my card is perfect for how I feel today, because even though it is Monday, I am thankful for so many things. Today I am mostly thankful for the fantastic weekend that our family spent on the beach. It was so much fun and the weather was perfect the entire weekend, a perfect way to spend a weekend before it gets too cold to go to the beach and swim.
I wanted to make a card using this rolled flower that I made this morning, the flower turned out a little bigger than I had imagined, and next time I make one of these I will use a not so wide ribbon.

The sentiment stamp is from Unity "The time is now", orange card stock from PTI, and I am not sure where the ribbon or the swirl stamp is from, I have had both for quite a while.

Thank you for stopping by!

Friends With Flair {Happy Halloween}

Lately I have been trying really hard to use up some of all the older dp that I had to have, and then never used. When I was going through my drawers of papers, I found this huge pad from DCWV called "The Fall Stack", and I thought that these papers were perfect for this bat stamp from Unity that I have had for some time too and never inked until today.

I embossed the bat stamp so it is really shiny looking, and added the black gems just because it is so hard to resist the urge to add a little bling to everything I make.

Supplies:
Unity "Halloween Traditions" kit
DCWV paper
Zva gems
Spellbinders ovals
embossing powder

Thank you for stopping by, and have a happy weekend!

Friendship

Seems that it is harder than I thought to use up one entire pad of paper...
Last week I challenged myself to keep making stuff until one pad of dp was used up, and I am still working on that. So here is a card made with papers from Me & My Big Ideas and a stamp from Unity.

(supplies)
Unity Feb 2011 KOM stamp
Me & My Big Ideas paper
EK Success border punch
Black brad

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday!

Embrace Possibility {CAS}

For today I am playing along with the CAS challenge over on SCS,to use color blocking on your card.
This is my take on that in simple black and white with a sentiment from an awesome Unity kit called "Art & Possibility"

I cut the black piece of card stock freehand and rounded the top corner only, to go with the curve in the black piece.

Thank you for stopping by!

Friends with Flair {Boo}

Here is a cute little Halloween card that I made after seeing the idea for these cute little gate fold cards on SCS this week. I love how it turned out, and think it would be perfect for putting in a kids lunch box, or even my hubbys lunch with a small bag of treats, he deserves it for putting up with me every day :)

The paper is from Echo Park "Apothecary" (I love these papers), the bat on the front is from the August KOM, and the stamps on the inside is from a Unity set called "Too cute to Spook".

Thank you for stopping by!

Just a Note

I am still working with the same pad of paper from Me & My Big Ideas.
My plan was to keep making stuff using only this pad until it is used up, but I am not sure that I will be sticking to the plan - there are a lot of papers in a pad and it gets old only using the same papers for every card.
Today I have a fun card that I made with smaller scraps that I punched into hexagons, I love using the scraps of paper, and I do like how this turned out.

Supplies:
Unity Jan 2011 KOM
Me & My Big Ideas design paper
PTI card stock
ribbon

Thank you for stopping by and have a terrific Thursday!

Explore!

Last weekend I organized my smaller pads of papers, and realized just how many papers I have. There are so many 6x6 pads of paper I "had to have" only to put them in the pile with the other ones and either only use one piece of paper from the pad or not use any at all. So now my challenge to me is to use all of the papers in a pad before I can get anything new. This is why you may see several project using the same papers for the next few weeks.
Today I have a card that I made using my Cricut which I have not been using much at all either.

Supplies:
Me & My Big Ideas paper
Inkadinkadoo "Creative Words" stamp
Provo Craft "Sentimentals" cartridge
Ribbon
Brad

Most of these cards (and more) are being sent to OWH, as I hope to be able to give back just a little, since I received several OWH cards from my hubby last year when he was deployed, and I know how happy these cards make both the sender and recipient.

A quick CAS Card!

The past few weeks have been super busy with getting kids ready for school, and getting to know the new area we live in, so it has been a while since my last post here.
I finally got most of my craft stuff unpacked (cannot believe how much stuff I actually have...), and spent a lot of time making stuff this weekend.
For today I have a CAS card that I made using some felt for the flower, and some washi tape
The sentiment is from Unity July 2012 KOM "Ol' Bag of Fun" and I am pretty sure the button came from PTI, the felt was cut using a round Spellbinders die.
I really like how this turned out, let me know what you think.
