Embrace Possibility {CAS}

For today I am playing along with the CAS challenge over on SCS,to use color blocking on your card.
This is my take on that in simple black and white with a sentiment from an awesome Unity kit called "Art & Possibility"

I cut the black piece of card stock freehand and rounded the top corner only, to go with the curve in the black piece.

Friends with Flair {Boo}

Here is a cute little Halloween card that I made after seeing the idea for these cute little gate fold cards on SCS this week. I love how it turned out, and think it would be perfect for putting in a kids lunch box, or even my hubbys lunch with a small bag of treats, he deserves it for putting up with me every day :)

The paper is from Echo Park "Apothecary" (I love these papers), the bat on the front is from the August KOM, and the stamps on the inside is from a Unity set called "Too cute to Spook".

Just a Note

I am still working with the same pad of paper from Me & My Big Ideas.
My plan was to keep making stuff using only this pad until it is used up, but I am not sure that I will be sticking to the plan - there are a lot of papers in a pad and it gets old only using the same papers for every card.
Today I have a fun card that I made with smaller scraps that I punched into hexagons, I love using the scraps of paper, and I do like how this turned out.

Supplies:
Unity Jan 2011 KOM
Me & My Big Ideas design paper
PTI card stock
ribbon

Thank you for stopping by and have a terrific Thursday!

Explore!

Last weekend I organized my smaller pads of papers, and realized just how many papers I have. There are so many 6x6 pads of paper I "had to have" only to put them in the pile with the other ones and either only use one piece of paper from the pad or not use any at all. So now my challenge to me is to use all of the papers in a pad before I can get anything new. This is why you may see several project using the same papers for the next few weeks.
Today I have a card that I made using my Cricut which I have not been using much at all either.

Supplies:
Me & My Big Ideas paper
Inkadinkadoo "Creative Words" stamp
Provo Craft "Sentimentals" cartridge
Ribbon
Brad

Most of these cards (and more) are being sent to OWH, as I hope to be able to give back just a little, since I received several OWH cards from my hubby last year when he was deployed, and I know how happy these cards make both the sender and recipient.

A quick CAS Card!

The past few weeks have been super busy with getting kids ready for school, and getting to know the new area we live in, so it has been a while since my last post here.
I finally got most of my craft stuff unpacked (cannot believe how much stuff I actually have...), and spent a lot of time making stuff this weekend.
For today I have a CAS card that I made using some felt for the flower, and some washi tape
The sentiment is from Unity July 2012 KOM "Ol' Bag of Fun" and I am pretty sure the button came from PTI, the felt was cut using a round Spellbinders die.
I really like how this turned out, let me know what you think.

Another FWF Friday

For FWF today I made two cards using the same supplies, but different stamps.
I used an hexagon punch that I found in my stuff when I unpacked the boxes in my craft room, and some older papers that I have had for a while and never used.

Supplies:
Unity SOTW lamp stamp
Unity "The time is Now"
Creative Memories: hexagon punch

Thank you for stopping by, and have a great weekend!

FWF Friday

It has been a few weeks since my last FWF post, and I am excited that I was able to make a card and participate this week. This week has been crazy busy with moving, but we are finally getting somewhat settled in, so I was able to find some time to make a card for today.

Supplies:
Stamps are all Unity
seniment from Jan 2011 KOM
large butterfly from a SOTW
smaller butterflies (background stamp) from a SOTW
Cardstock from Stampin' Up
Patterned paper from my scrapbox
This has been our hardest move yet, I think that we have all cried this week. But we do like our new house, and the neighborhood seems nice too. We finally finished getting my daughter registered for high school today, and she was able to get into all the classes she wanted, and she even made it onto the volleyball team after a 4 hour try-out today, so I am hoping that there will be no more tears from her for a while, just a little nervousness about starting high school. North Carolina is VERY different from Kansas (we LOVED our time in Kansas), but I hope that with time we will feel at home here too.
Thank you for stopping by, and I hope that everyone has a happy weekend!
