Here is the card I made to share for FWF this week. the doily stamp is from the Generations kit, and the little tag is from the Dutch Mustard Soup kit.
I am giving this card (along with a bunch more) to my friends husband who is leaving for a year long deployment to Afghanistan tomorrow morning. This way he will have cards to send to loved ones at home while he is away. Next I will be working on a set of cards to give to her, so she can send him some happy mail too. But first a "fun" road trip with the kids to North Carolina to look for housing for our move next month, this should be the last trip I have to take alone with the kids, before my husband returns from his "trip" to Iraq. YAY!!!
Happy weekend and TFL!

Wonderful card, I love that doily stamp and how you used it as a background! It's so sweet of you to make cards for your friends to be able to send to each other during deployment and such exciting news that your husband will soon be back from his!
ReplyDeleteI love that you are supplying cards to this soldier to send to his loved ones during his deployment. What a blessing this will be not only to him, but to everyone who receives one! You have a very generous and loving heart to reach out to others when you yourself must be missing your husband! May God bless you for your loving concern for others.
