Today is our oldest sons 13th birthday, and the youngest was 2 1/2 yesterday, so now we have two teenagers and a toddler. It is also our anniversary so I made this card, I did not mail it to him since he is scheduled to come home at the end of July and mail to Iraq has been really unpredictable for the past six months, guess I will just wait and celebrate with him when he gets home.
This beautiful bracelet arrived yesterday for me, and I feel truly blessed to be married to such a thoughtful man.
And last but not least, on Wednesday the kids (we all cried) and I stood here with our flags to honor yet another fallen hero. This boy was only 23 years old and he gave all for our country, we all must remember that freedom is not free, and honor those who fight for our freedom every day.
The Fort Leavenworth community paid honors to a fallen local hero who was laid to rest in the post cemetery Wednesday, Jun. 6, 2012. The fallen Soldier, Pfc. Cale Miller, was killed in Afghanistan May 24.
Long post I know... Hopefully everyone has a fun weekend with family and friends.
